“Free unlimited transcription” shows up in the marketing for a handful of AI note-takers, and it’s not a lie — but it’s not the whole truth either. The raw transcript (the text of what was said) really is unlimited free on the three tools worth considering. What’s metered is the part people actually came for: AI-generated summaries and action items. Get that distinction straight and you can run a fully free note-taking setup indefinitely.
